Hammerhead Shark
Scientific Name - - (Scalloped) Sphyrna Lewini / (Great) Mokarran
Size - 10 - 20 feet in length
Diet - - a fierce predator that eats fish, rays, sharks, squid, octopuses and crustaceans. It has been known to be cannibalistic. Unique shaped head is belived to help hunt stingrays
Habitat - - warm and relatively warm waters along the coastlines, the continental shelves and ( upper part of the mesopelagic zone ) to depths of about 260 feet.
Reproduction - - viviparous, giving birth to 20 - 40 pups about 27 inches long at birth. Gives birth to live pups!
